Contrary to popular belief, there are a lot of benefits to selling your home during the fall and winter months. Here’s what you need to know.
During this time of year, we hear this kind of question a lot: “Should I sell my home now, or is it better if I wait until spring?”
While it’s true that we see more activity in the spring market, it also comes with increased competition. In the late fall and early winter, demand drops off, but so does supply. So should you wait?
It all depends on what makes sense for you from a timing standpoint. With fewer homes on the market now there are fewer options for buyers to choose from. The buyers in this market are serious, not just window shoppers. This makes it a great time to put your house on the market. We often see multiple offers and offers above asking price during this time of year.
If you do end up selling during this time of year, I would say to take it easy on the holiday decor. Less is more when you’re trying to sell a home. You can create that homey feel in other ways. Chances are that you can get a really solid offer during this time of year.
If you have any questions for me about selling your home or anything else related to real estate, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
